Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is an Escape Room?
    An escape room is a themed room that your team has situationally been 'trapped' in and must piece together information in order to escape. You may find puzzle pieces, hidden objects or texts, sensors and triggers that will need to be used correctly in order to open the locks that will lead to your exit and win.
  • How long does the experience take?
    Allow about 80-90 minutes from the time you arrive to the time you leave! 5-15 minute briefing 60 minute game 5-10 debrief
  • What happens if we do not escape in time?
    You'll never leave, so settle in! Just kidding. If time permits, our staff may allow some extra time or we can come into the game and complete a walk through of the remainder of the game (if you want). NOTE- Extra time or a walkthrough is only available for groups that are on time for their booking. Circumstances out of our game masters control may also require their time urgently, so they may not be able to provide you extra time or a walk through.
  • Where is the best place to park?
    O'Connell Street, Parramatta -Aird Street, Westfield Parramatta Parking lot (stick to one of the lower levels if possible. Exit through the pedestrian ramp and cross the road) - Street Parking (metred) Church Street, Parramatta - Eat Street Carpark (paid) - 4 minute walk - Westfield Parramatta Parking (2 hours free) - 10 minute walk - Justice Precinct Parking lot (paid) - 8 minute walk Wick's Road, Macquarie Park - free parking onsite
  • Do you Cater?
    No, we do not! However, we do have food options nearby if you want to plan a meal before or after your game. Parramatta locations: very close to Church Street (Eat Street) or Argyle Street restaurants Macquarie Park location: The Governor Hotel is across the road
  • Can we have more than 8 players in one game?
    More players may mean that some will be left out as there are only so many puzzles that can be worked on at one time. We recommend either splitting into separate escape rooms where possible if you have a large group. However, if you desperately want an extra person or so in the one room you can give us a call and we may be able to abide depending on the room.
  • Can I add extra players once I have paid?
    Yes, you can! As long as it doesn't exceed our maximum capacity for the game. You can pay for extra players on the day of the event.
  • Do you have discounts for Large Groups?
    Yes! For groups of 20-40 players we charge $45 per player, and 41 or more players then it is $40 each. Check out the events page or give us a call for terms and conditions!
  • Do you sell Gift Certificates?
    We sell e-gift certificates. To purchase... - Click on the Gift Certifictes tab in our menu, or - Click 'Book Now' > Filter > Gift vouchers, or - Call Us!
  • What are your Terms and Conditions?
    Reschedules: Players may reschedule their booking up until 24 hours prior to their game start time. If players need to reschedule within 24 hours of their game start time they will need to pay a rescheduling fee of $60 if they have already paid in full. If customer's have only paid a deposit of $60, and wish to reschedule within 24 hours of their event start time, they forfeit their deposit and must make a new booking. If you have rescheduled within 24 hours and paid the fee, you will not be able to cancel at a later date in return for a credit.  ​ Refunds/Cancellations: If you are cancelling before 24 hours of your event we will provide a credit for the amount paid. We do not give out cash refunds once the booking is confirmed. If you need to cancel your entire booking within 24 hours of the event we will not provide any refunds/credits. If some members of the group are no longer attending we need 24 hours notice prior to the event in order to provide a credit. Lateness: If you are running more than 15 minutes late for your session the Game Master has the right to shorten or cancel your game. This may be necessary to avoid the next session being affected or the employee exceeding their rostered hours. No Shows: If you or some players do not show up to the booking you forfeit the money put down on the booking.​ We will not provide a refund or credit for no shows. If you have only paid a minimum deposit, you can change your player numbers up until the time of the event. Breakages: By agreeing to play one of our rooms you are accepting responsibility for your behaviour during the game. Any breakages or failure to follow the Game Masters instructions may result in your being asked to leave the premises early and provide monetary compensation for excessive breakage.
  • Do I have to pay in full when I book?
    No! You must pay a minimum deposit of $60 per game being booked. The remainder can be paid when you come in for your event.
  • What are your prices?
    Standard Prices 2-3 players: $60 per player 4-6 players: $55 per player 7-8 players: $50 per player FEAR Prices $60 per player Sunday Pricing starts at $180 (or 3 player equivalent). Public Holiday Pricing starts at $220 (or 4 player equivalent).
  • What is Birthday Pricing?
    Birthday pricing is for 8-16 year olds birthdays. One birthday game is $320 (and covers 7-8 children). - Birthday pricing is not automatically applied. It will be applied on the day of the event when final numbers are confirmed. Simply pay with the minimum deposit when booking online. Please call us if you wish to discuss the party in more detail. *We do not have extra birthday add ons to the escape room experience. For example, we do not have any food & drinks at the venue
  • Can we bring food?
    O'Connell Street, Parramatta: No, unfortunately! We don't have the space. Church Street, Parramatta: Yes, you can bring cake and cold food. You can use our customer seating for half an hour after the game, but no longer. Wick's Road, Macquarie Park: No, sorry! We don't have the space/facilities at this time.
  • Do you have party rooms?
    No, we don't! Just our games.
  • What are your Covid-19 Safety Practices?
    COVID-SAFE PLAN - 1x 2 square metre rule in place. - Hand washing facilities on site and hand sanitiser easily accessible. - The games and regular touch points in customer areas are sanitised with disinfectant between every game. - Fresh air Air Conditioners
  • Do you have a Risk Assessment?

  • Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
    Yes! Contact us if you need a copy of our Certificate of Currency.
  • Is the Macquarie Park venue the same as the previous business, ParaPark Escape Rooms?
    We did take over ParaPark, however we are creating an entirely new game there. We have also revamped The Crime Scene and The Mad Landlord by adding a lot of new puzzles, removing some of the old puzzles, and changing the decor a little.
